ICRC says it'll help transfer prisoner from Israel to Lebanon on Sunday

A spokeswoman for the International Committee of the Red Cross said Wednesday that the body will help transfer a prisoner from Israel to Lebanon this weekend. Nasim Nisr was born in Lebanon to a Jewish mother and a Shi'ite Muslim father, and later emigrated to Israel. He was sentenced to six years in jail there in 2002 for having contacts with Hizbullah. ICRC's Samar Kadi says the organization will help transfer Nisr into Lebanon at the coastal Naqoura crossing at 11 a.m. Sunday. Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah predicted Monday that Israel would release its prisoners "very soon." Nisr's release appeared to be because he finished his prison term, rather than part of a larger prisoner swap.
