'IDF patrol withdraws after accidentally crossing into Lebanese territory'

An IDF patrol crossed into Lebanese territory Tuesday, but withdrew after being alerted by UN peacekeeping forces, the Lebanese military said. According to a Lebanese army statement, eight soldiers went over the border line between Kfar Shouba and Halta and crossed 60 meters into Lebanese territory. Indian members of the UN peacekeeping force in the area "made the patrol withdraw," the statement added. Lebanese officials reported that the soldiers said they had crossed into the territory by mistake.
