IDF, Shin Bet arrest senior Islamic Jihad member in Jenin cafe
IDF troops and the Shin Bet arrested a senior Islamic Jihad member in Jenin overnight Thursday, Army Radio reported.
Abed Barjis was allegedly involved in shooting attacks and is accused of throwing explosive devices at military targets over the last few years.
According to the report, the funding for his attacks was made available by a Syrian-based organization.
The arrest raid was carried out in a café during which a gunfight ensued. Pipe bombs were thrown towards the Israeli force who suffered no casualties.
