The IDF spokesperson on Tuesday defended Operation Cast Lead during an interview with Sky News, and emphasized that despite diplomatic activity towards a formation of a cease-fire, the military had many more objectives to achieve.
"Currently we don't see the end in sight," Maj. Avital Leibowtiz said. "We have destroyed 70% of the tunnels" along the Philadelphi Corridor, but there are still more targets to hit.
