'If it were Arabs protesting in Jebl Mukaber we'd be counting the dead'

United Arab List Chairman MK Ibrahim Sarsour on Monday lambasted the police for its handling of the riots that broke out between right wing protestors and residents of the Arab neighborhood of Jebl Mukaber in Jerusalem the day before.
"If it were Arab protestors we would have been counting the dead," Sarsour said. "The police's hesitant response is a sign of callousness and contempt towards Arabs."
Sarsur expressed concern over the possibility that extremists would "take advantage" of the police's "hesitancy" in order to carry out "their plans" in east Jerusalem."
