Israel Beiteinu calls for Balad to be disqualified from election

The Israel Beiteinu faction asked the Central Elections Committee on Sunday to prevent Balad from running in the February 10 race, "because it opposes Israel's existence as a Jewish state."
Sunday night was the deadline to submit requests to the committee to disqualify a party from running.
The secularist Or Party asked the committee last week to disqualify Shas and United Torah Judaism.
