Israeli experts to head to central Italy to examine earthquake damage

A delegation of Israeli experts will head to the central Italian city of L'Aquila on Wednesday to examine damage caused to bridges, roads and interchanges in Monday's devastating earthquake. The team, consisting of representatives from the National Roads Authority and external experts, will attempt to draw conclusions on preventing such damage in Israel in the event of a such a quake. The death toll from Monday's disaster had risen to 207 by Tuesday afternoon, with 15 people still missing.
