The body of Omri Lahad, a 23-year-old Rosh Pina resident, was identified in Peru on Tuesday.
Lahad, who went missing about a month ago, had apparently died from a snake bite.
Although his body was found almost a month ago near the Brazilian border, it was only identified after a photograph was circulated around Peru.
Israeli representatives in Peru were organizing for his remains to be returned.
In July, the body of Galit Sasson, a 23-year-old Israeli hiker from Nes Ziona who went missing in Peru after falling into a ravine, was recovered.
In September last year, the body of Tomer Ahuan, 23, from Rishon Lezion, who went missing in Peru during a rafting expedition, was identified after being found two weeks earlier.
