Jerusalem man shot after attacking bailiffs

A Palestinian who stabbed and beat two court bailiffs in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Wadi Joz on Wednesday was shot in the stomach by one of the wounded court officials, police and rescue officials said. The late-morning criminally-motivated attack took place when the bailiffs were trying to implement a court seizure-order issued for nonpayment of debts. One bailiff was stabbed in the hand and the other was hit in the head, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. Both men were lightly wounded, Ben-Ruby said. One of the bailiffs then shot the attacker, moderately wounding him, police said. The three men were rushed to separate Jerusalem hospitals by Magen David Adom paramedics
