Kadima: Netanyahu sold the state to Shas in a secret deal

Kadima slammed on Monday the coalition agreement Shas and Likud signed on Sunday night, citing it as proof to a secret deal between the parties which kept Shas from joining Kadima's coalition in late 2008, thus forcing Israel into elections. "The deal signed late last night proves that we were right throughout our entire elections campaign when we said that [Likud chair Binyamin] Netanyahu sold the state to Shas in a secret deal, and now is payment time," Kadima said in an announcement. "The political surrender agreement, which favors the sectoral over the national and shirks Netanyahu's public promises, is an additional testimony to the fact that Netanyahu really decided on which government he wants months ago," the announcement continued.
