The Labor party announced Sunday that its primaries would not be delayed, despite a decision made by the party's internal court that was expected by many to push back the primaries.
The elections will most likely be held on the planned November 9 date.
Furthermore, an expanded panel of judges in Labor's internal court ordered general-secretary Eitan Cabel to publish the list of those eligible to vote in the primaries. The panel, however, did accept the petition of leadership candidate Binyamin Ben-Eliezer to allow all those who were rejected from the voting list to appeal the decision until the end of the month.
Ben-Eliezer had previously threatened to petition an external court if the Labor court did not accept his appeal, Israel Radio reported.
