Lieberman: EU views Netanyahu's speech in a very positive light

The European Union views Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's policy speech in a "very positive light," Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman insisted Tuesday, saying this was demonstrated by the EU deciding not to shelve plans to upgrade ties with Israel. Speaking to Israel Radio, Lieberman stressed that Israel had not set the Palestinians preconditions for resuming peace talks, and that the entire world now understood that Israel was "serious," while the Palestinians were being "insubordinate." The foreign minister went on to say that after piling pressure on Israel to wipe out Hamas during the IDF operation in Gaza at the end of last year, the Palestinian Authority was now accusing the army of committing war crimes during the offensive.
