In a meeting with Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz on Sunday evening, Machsom Watch women expressed concern at the deterioration they see in how soldiers at the checkpoint interpret the orders they receive.
Halutz and other senior IDF officers presented reasons justifying the alertness of the soldiers, suspecting every passing Palestinian of being a terrorist, Israel Radio reported.
Machsom Watch is a human rights group whose defined purpose is to monitor West Bank checkpoints and minimize cases of IDF soldiers abusing Palestinians.
