Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to announce on Wednesday afternoon the appointment of Maj.-Gen. (res.) Yossi Peled to the party, it was reported Tuesday night. Peled has supported the Likud in the past, but in 1999 withdrew his support for Netanyahu in favor of former Labor Party chairman Ehud Barak.
