IAF jets bombed the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday night, killing one man and wounding three others, Palestinian sources reported.
The IAF reportedly targeted a terrorist cell east of Khan Yunis. The terrorists were apparently in the midst of preparing to launch a rocket attack against Israel when the bomb struck.
According to a statement released by the IDF Spokesperson, the operation was a joint effort by the IDF and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency).
"The IDF will not tolerate the firing [of rockets] by terrorist organizations into Israeli territory and will continue to act decisively against any attempt to compromise the security of Israeli cities and the South," the statement read.
The terrorists were said to be members of the Nasr Salah al-Din Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committee, a terrorist group operating out of Gaza.
