Man stabbed to death in Yehud fight

Another seriously wounded as drunken brawl breaks out in apartment; two suspects arrested by police.

A man in his 40s was stabbed to death overnight Friday during a fight in a Yehud apartment. Police arrested a suspect in the apartment and later arrested another man who had fled from the scene of the scuffle. Another man allegedly involved in the fight was evacuated to Tel Hashoner's Sheba Medical Center with serious stab wounds. Initial reports reached police and MDA before midnight of a fight in an apartment on Nordou Street, and medics promptly arrived at the scene to find the body of a man with multiple stab wounds lying at the entrance to one of the apartments. Inside, the seriously wounded man was found along with another, who was suffering from light stab wounds. The latter was arrested by police. From the initial inquiry, police said it appeared that several men who lived in the apartment had got into a drunken argument that erupted into a fight, culminating in one of the men brandishing a knife and stabbing the victim to death. Police said the attacker had apparently tried to flee but collapsed. An eyewitness told police than one of the men had escaped, and he was subsequently caught.
