Military police clashed overnight with settlers in Harei Sha, north of Jerusalem, after the police attempted to arrest two draft dodgers. Israel Radio reported that the youths, who refused to be drafted into the IDF in protest over the disengagement from the Gaza Strip and planned withdrawals from the West Bank, were confronted by the police in the community's synagogue. Eventually, the police issued summons and left the premises without taking the two into custody.
