Fares for public transportation were not set to increase as of July 1, according to a Tuesday statement made by Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz.
His announcement followed the Finance Mnistry's acceptance of Mofaz' request to deny the proposed seven percent rise in transit fares, Israel Radio reported.
