Netanyahu tells Michael Oren he wants him as envoy to US

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu informed Dr. Michael Oren overnight Sunday of his intention to appoint the American-born historian as Israel's ambassador to the US.
The appointment must be approved in the upcoming cabinet meeting on Sunday.
