Noam and Aviva Schalit: Any Gaza agreement must include Gilad's release

Noam and Aviv Schalit, parents of captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, called on Saturday evening for the government to ensure their son's release is part of any agreement to end fighting in the Gaza Strip. During a press conference, the soldier's father said "this is a critical point in returning Gilad, who has been held [by Hamas] for over two and a half years." He said he had spoken with many cabinet members, who agreed on the issue's importance. The cabinet will convene Saturday evening to vote on a unilateral cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, bringing an end to the three-week long Israel offensive against Hamas terrorists. "Every possibility to end this war," Schalit said, "must include Gilad."
