Noam Schalit calls on Olmert to use next 2 weeks to bring Gilad home

Noam Schalit, father of captured IDF soldier Gilad, called on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert use the next two weeks to secure his son's release from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip. Speaking at an event in Jerusalem marking 1000 days of the soldier's captivity, Schalit said "Olmert, a government under your leadership, as you are so fond of saying, sent Gilad on his mission, and it's your responsibility to bring him back home to his family." "You have two more weeks to act… before it's too late," he added. In his address, the soldier's father also thanked all the people who had come to express support to him and his wife, Aviva, at their protest tent outside Olmert's residence over the last two weeks.
