Olmert, Livni return to Israel as officials gear up for peace negotiations

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni landed in Israel on Thursday afternoon, returning from the US-sponsored Middle East conference in Annapolis, Maryland. Olmert's associates called the meeting a great success. Jerusalem discussions on Israeli-Palestinian talks will begin Friday, Israel Radio reported, adding that an oversight committee headed by Livni and Palestinian negotiator Ahmed Qurei was set to begin administrative work on negotiations.
