Police beef up Rabbi Ovadia Yosef's security fearing terror attack

Police beefed up security around Rabbi Ovadia Yosef on Sunday out of concern terrorists were planning to attack the Shas spiritual leader. Several days ago, police investigated suspicions that an east Jerusalem man, who was apparently in contact with a Moldovan women employed at Yosef's house, was planning to attack the rabbi. The east Jerusalem man had a background in security-related offenses and other crimes, but no concrete evidence was found to justify his arrest. Nevertheless, at the recommendation of security officials, Yosef's family took several precautions, including changing their locks and firing the Moldovan employee.
