The body of a man missing since Tuesday was discovered in sand dunes in Holon on Saturday evening, and police have launched a murder investigation. A Tel Aviv Police spokeswoman said Ronen Gavrieli, 34, a resident of the city, had been shot dead. He was found by police near his moped four days after his mother reported him missing. Gavrieli was the cousin of former MK Inbal Gavrieli. "This is definitely criminally related," the spokeswoman added, adding that Tel Aviv Police's Central Unit was directing the probe. The spokeswoman refused to address media reports that Gavrieli had been involved in a scuffle at a Tel Aviv nightclub over a woman, or that he had been killed as part of a turf war between crime organizations who live off protection rackets. "These are all speculations," the spokeswoman said.
