Police officer suspected of downloading child porn

A police officer and five other people were arrested by Tel Aviv police on Wednesday on suspicion of downloading child pornography from the internet. The operation followed a tip-off from Interpol, which said Israeli residents were involved in downloading and distributing the material. Two Herzliya residents were arrested on Wednesday morning, and hundreds of films and still photographs were seized by police, as well as evidence pointing to online chat sessions with young girls. Four other suspects, including the police officer, were arrested later in the day. The suspects are currently being questioned.
