The state prosecutor confirmed on Tuesday that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was under investigation for alleged interference in the bid for controlling Bank Leumi stock. The prosecutor said that the investigation had begun some time ago, and the allegations date back to Olmert's term as deputy finance minister.
