From Sunday, drivers in Israel are required to carry in their vehicle a reflective vest. By law, drivers must wear the white-striped yellow vest every time they leave their cars on inter-city roads. The vests are being sold in almost all gas stations for NIS 15-20, and are available in any store selling car accessories. Some companies are offering them to their employees for a lower price. Police will be lenient during January in enforcing the law, but stated that starting from February, drivers found without a reflective vest in their cars will be will be prosecuted.function initServerVars() { _headup.clientHost = 'http://newstopics.jpost.com'; _headup.termsFromServer = 0; _headup.annotatedTerms = 0; _headup.widgetMode = 'snippet'; _headup.snippetButtonStyle = 'banner'; _headup.blackListedUrl = false; } <!-- Terms Count: 0 TTL: 4 Terms From Server: DateTime: 6/12/2011 12:54:10 AM -->
