Report: 90% of playground equipment unsafe

The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Labor reported Monday that 90 percent of the playground equipment currently in use in Israel does not meet regulations, endangering children who play there. Ministry officials told the Knesset Education Committee on Monday that due to a lack of manpower, inspectors check only some 100 of Israel's 50,000 playgrounds every year.
