Rose murder trial: Police say Ron admitted to throwing girl in river

The Rose Pizem murder trial continued Monday in the Petah Tikva District Court, with Sharon Police chief Dep.-Cmdr. Kobi Cohen denying that he had assured the four-year-old's grandfather and chief murder suspect, Ronnie Ron, that his girlfriend and Rose's mother, Marie Pizem, would go free if he told police where the girl's body was.
The body was found in a suitcase in Tel Aviv's Yarkon River on September 11, 2008.
Netanya's police chief, Dep.-Cmdr Ron Gertner, also testified Monday and said that Ron had admitted to putting the sleeping girl in the suitcase before throwing it in the river.
