Sarkozy sends condolences to President Peres following Dimona attack

In the aftermath of the terrorist attack on Dimona, French President Nicolas Sarkozy has sent a message of support and encouragement to President Shimon Peres. In the message, Sarkozy expresses his own condolences and those of the French people for the trauma that Israel is once again experiencing. Sarkozy adds that his thoughts are with the families of the victims and with those who were hurt in the explosion. Terrorist activities are completely unacceptable, he writes, adding that France is unequivocally opposed to them, and will defend herself against them in the strongest possible manner. Sarkozy also assures Peres that France will continue to stand firm with Israel in the fight against terrorism, and will provide any assistance necessary to eradicate terrorism and bring about peace.
