The National Serious and International Crimes (NSIC) Unit has taken the lead in the police investigation into the criminal assassination in Netanya on Monday evening in which one man was killed.
The Central Police District has passed the case to the NSIC due to the latter's "familiarity with the figures" involved, a police statement said.
27-year-old Nati Ohahoin, said to be linked to the Abutbul crime family, was gunned down in his car on Monday.
A second man, Rami Meimon, 40, was moderately to seriously wounded in the shooting.
