Seven people injured in car crash on Ayalon

A one-vehicle collision involving a GMC Savannah van left seven people injured on Saturday at around 7:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Ayalon highway near the Dov Hoz interchange in Holon. The van, driven by a 43-year-old Ramle resident, was driving a number of youths home from evening entertainment in Tel Aviv. The accident occurred when, for reasons still unknown to police, the van swerved and hit a guard rail. The seven victims were taken by MDA teams to Ichilov and Wolfensohn Hospitals in the Tel Aviv area. Three of the injured were listed in serious condition, with the other four only lightly hurt.
