A Tel Aviv police officer was lightly wounded on Tuesday, when he was stabbed by an alleged car thief on the city's Rehov Parzon.
During a routine patrol, a police squad noticed two suspicious men trying to break into parked cars. A scuffle broke out between the suspects and the officers, during which the policeman was stabbed.
He was taken to the city's Ichilov Hospital for medical treatment.
One of the suspects, a Ramallah resident, 24, was arrested, and the other escaped. He will appear at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court later Tuesday for a remand extension hearing.
