Outgoing Finance Ministry Director General Yossi Bachar, who was recently named temporary director of the Israel Tax Authority following the arrest of ITA head Jacky Matza, told reporters on Tuesday that Israel's public service establishment was "not corrupt." "Every system, everywhere in the world, has aspects that reflect the human character, including corruption," Bachar said at a ceremony held at the Finance Ministry. "But to say the 'whole system' is corrupt is an insult. We're all citizens of Israel," Bachar continued.
