An Islamic Jihad operative suspected of involvement in a series of terror attacks, including transporting two suicide bombers to Kfar Saba in 2002, was arrested in a joint IDF-Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) operation in Nablus overnight Monday.
Twenty-eight Israelis were wounded in the 2002 attack, three of them seriously.
A year later, the man, Salah Bukhari, dispatched another suicide bomber to perpetrate an attack which was foiled at the last moment, the Shin Bet said.
He was also allegedly involved in several shooting attacks and in the planting of bombs.
Bukhari has been in hiding for some seven years and was caught in a hideout during Monday night's operation.
He was transferred for interrogation.
