Figures published by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday showed that unemployment went down in 2005 to 246.2 thousand people, representing approximately 9 percent of the work force, as compared to a level of 10.4%, 276,200, in 2004.
The figures for those out of work include those not registered at unemployment offices and those looking for work independently.
