Germany seeking Nazi suspect's extradition

Germany's top Nazi hunter Kurt Schrimm has asked Munich prosecutors to seek the extradition of an 88-year-old US resident accused of working as a guard at a Nazi death camp. Schrimm, a federal prosecutor, said on Sunday that John Demjanjuk was involved in the deaths of 29,000 Jews at Poland's Sobibor concentration camp while he worked as a guard there in 1943. Schrimm said that could be filed in Munich because Demjanjuk once lived there. Demjanjuk emigrated to the United States in 1952. The retired autoworker lives in suburban Cleveland, Ohio.
