Satmar Rebbe Moses Teitelbaum passed away overnight Monday at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York at the age of 91.
Teitelbaum has been hospitalized with cancer for a few months prior to his death.
The disappearance of the head of Satmar hassidic movement ushered in a succession battle between two of his sons, Aaron and Zalman.
