A television news anchor on a Russian  state-owned network accused the Jews of bringing the Holocaust on themselves.
In an item first reported by blogger John Aravosis of AMERICAblog, Russian television host Evelyn Zakamskaya is seen interviewing a guest about the recent crisis in Crimea.
When the issue which was discussed touched on Jewish support for the pro-Western Ukrainian government which seeks to minimize Russian influence in the country, Zakamskaya’s guest remarked how odd it was that these elements would invite a “second Holocaust.”
“They also advanced the first [Holocaust],” Zakamskaya told her guest.
The Kremlin has justified Russian annexation of Crimea by saying that “neo-Nazi” and “fascist” elements have taken over in Kiev.
Moscow’s actions have damaged relations with the West, which has imposed sanctions in response.
