There are many reasons why someone would need to wear an ECG medical device that can provide vital information to healthcare providers. But wearing them can be obtrusive and embarrassing.
Israel’s HealthWatch claims to have found a solution with its Master Caution, an FDA and CE-approved unobtrusive device that helps patients maintain their normal lifestyle while generating continuous ECG signals.
According to Dr. Gary Sagiv, CCO & EVP of HealthWatch, it is extremely difficult to produce a garment that is comfortable, flexible and fully washable that looks great and at the same time capable of generating clear and accurate ECG signals. Imagine facing challenges of numerous body shapes, height and much more.
The Master Caution’s innovative digital medical sensor technology and its in-depth patient management system has wide market applications both within and outside the health maintenance organization and hospital environs. It’s a sensor-rich heart sensing textile garment incorporating 12-lead ECGs with heart rate detection, skin temperature, respiratory and body posture.
Master Caution has been selected to exhibit at the Wearable Tech Exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, beginning in March.
“Being selected to take part in an exhibit that focuses on the technical progress of textile, alongside outstanding and well-known companies from other fields, says it all,” said Sagiv. We are excited about this opportunity to share with the world what we do best – develop wearable medical devices.”
According to Sagiv, the company’s next product will focus on an innovative fetal monitoring device for the prenatal market.
