Bezeq recently decided to send the city of Safed a hint about its unpaid phone bills and last week cut off phone service in several city-run establishments, including schools, www.local.co.il has reported. However, phone service to the municipality itself remained operational.
According to Bezeq, the decision to cut some of the city's phone lines was made after the phone company sent the municipality several warnings about its debt.
The city of Safed has promised to pay its bills as soon as it settles up with other service providers.
