Hundreds of families are expected to take part in a 10 km mountain bicycle ride from Herzliya to Ra'anana tomorrow (Saturday the 25th), reports www.mynet.co.il. The leisurely ride, designed for families with children aged over nine, is a joint project by the sports departments of the two cities, along with the Israel Cycling Federation. According to the report, the cyclists will set off from the Ilanot school in Herzliya at 9:30 a.m. and will pedal their way northward through fields and dirt roads before completing the trip at the Ra'anana Park between noon and 1:30 p.m. Joining the ride costs NIS 20, and bicycles will be available for hire at the starting point. All cyclists must wear helmets.
