Presenting its Safe in the Sun (#safeinthesun) campaign, the company has launched new products in the collection that focus on texture and efficiency. The new products, all with SPF 50+, include Anthelios Dermo-Pediatrics, a wet skin gel for children (NIS 129); Anthelios Wet Skin, a clear gel for adults (NIS 129); and Anthelios XL, a tinted facial cream (NIS 99).All the products provide wide-ranging protection against UVA and UVB and were tested on sensitive skin. The products are also effective when used on wet skin. The facial cream’s shade suits all skin types and creates a matte finish.The company’s experts stress the importance of using sunscreen every day and reapplying the creams often, rubbing a generous amount on all exposed parts of the face and body. Clinically tested, the gel contains no DEET or other allergy- inducing ingredients, is odorless and non-sticky. A must-have for anyone who suffers from mosquito bites. Available at pharmacies for NIS 17.90.Cheers to herbsIn time for Israel’s 70th anniversary, Israeli whiskey distillery Milk and Honey has introduced Roots, a new limited edition herb liqueur. The liqueur is made from wild herbs and plants grown in Israel. The herbs were chosen by seven local celebrities – chef Erez Komarovsky, poet Roni Somek, Olympic champion Keren Leibovitz, Mahaneh Yehuda’s Eli Mizrahi, Dr. Elyashiv Drori, chef Avivit Priel and whisky persona Tomer Goren, who selected their “most Israeli” flavors. The products of Milk and Honey distillery are distributed by Hakerem and sold at wine and liquor stores across the country. NIS 149Summer glowBobbi Brown introduces a new collection, Extra Glow. It includes Extra Illumination Moisture Balm, a pearl-infused, lychee extract-powered lotion that can be worn alone, as a primer or over makeup for a radiant finish. The lotion is available in three shades – Golden Glow, Pink Glow and Bare Glow (NIS 385). Take it with you when traveling in the summer or winter (NIS 300).Two-in-oneLocal makeup wizard Boaz Stein has introduced a clear hydrating makeup base, rich in moisturizing ingredients that can be applied on the face, including the eyes and lips areas, helping the color stay in place. Primers are used by professionals to prepare the skin before applying makeup, providing a smoother finish and adhering the makeup to the skin for a longer time. The new generation of primers eliminates the need to use a hydrating cream. This is true for normal to oily skin, says Stein. Those with very dry skin still need to use hydration before the primer. (NIS 75)It’s no secretI am always on the look-out for new mascaras, and since one needs to replace them often to avoid eye inflammation, I try to purchase them whenever there’s a sale. Thankfully, the James Richardson Duty Free shops at Ben-Gurion Airport have a mascara sale that is going on until May 14. One of the mascaras offered, Seacret, is available only in their shops. Introduced for the first time in Israel, this mascara will not smudge and is suitable for tear-sensitive eyes. It provides a natural look and can be removed using warm water. Available for $29.90 at the James Richardson Duty Free shops.Colorful lashes L’Oréal Paris has introduced three shades of mascara for the summer – indigo blue, lilac and intensive black. According to the company, the new Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll Mascara provides volume, curl and allday hold. The brush curls lashes from the root for an instant lash lift, and the formula adds volume to the lashes and holds them in a curl. The fun colors are a welcome bonus. Special introductory price of NIS 40 until the end of April.Smart! If you’re looking for a men’s wallet, check out the Garzini brand of leather products.
