Abbas says he hopes Katyushas from Lebanon were isolated incident

Responding to rockets fired from southern Lebanon into Israel on Thursday, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday said that he hoped incident was an isolated one which would not lead to any escalation in the conflict. He spoke during a press conference in Madrid, after meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero. As many as three Katyusha rockets were fired from southern Lebanon into Israel earlier Thursday, wounding several people in a Nahariya retirement home. The IDF responded by firing mortars across the border.
