Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad is expected to arrive in Damascus Thursday noon.
Ahmedinejad's visit to Syria was announced Wednesday and he would be among the first visitors in the Syrian capital since Syrian President Bashar Assad's re-instatement as president for an additional seven-year term.
