Those negotiating the ceasefire in Gaza should "MOVE FAST," US President Donald Trump insisted in a post on Truth Social on Sunday evening.
"Time is of the essence, or massive bloodshed will follow," the president warned, adding that this is "something that nobody wants to see."
Trump affirmed that there have been "very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the world" during the ceasefire negotiations.
These talks are aiming "to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza, but, more importantly, finally have long sought PEACE in the Middle East," Trump stated.
The president commented that the talks have been "very successful" and are "proceeding rapidly."
First phase 'to be completed this week,' Trump believes
He also added that the delegations will meet on Monday in Egypt "to work through and clarify the final details," and that he has been told that the "first phase should be completed this week."
"A lot of the countries surrounding Israel - frankly, Muslim, Arab, many others - have had great meetings with Hamas, and it looks like it's working. We'll wait for a little while and see how it all turns out," Trump told reporters on Sunday.
