A letter written by US President Donald Trump to Congress when sending the Saudi Arabia-United States nuclear deal to Congress last month was released overnight on Tuesday.
"In my judgment, [the agreement] meets all applicable statutory requirements and will advance the nonproliferation and other foreign policy interests of the United States of America," Trump wrote in the letter.
The deal, he said, "would permit the transfer of material, equipment (including reactors), components, and information for peaceful nuclear purposes."
The content of the deal remains sealed at the time of writing.
This is a developing story.
