Assad: There is no difference between this Israeli gov't and the others

Syrian President Bashar Assad reiterated on Thursday his pessimism about the newly sworn-in Israeli government, but stated again that he sees no difference between the current Israeli cabinet and those that came before it. "The government which was in charge before this one started a war and committed massacres in Lebanon," said in an interview published by the Kuwait newspaper a-Sharak. "I think that they're all the same - [former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon] committed massacres in Palestine and [Defense Minister Ehud Barak] supported the work in Gaza," he continued. "There is no difference between Left and Right. We have our demands and those who are able to satisfy them will not constitute a problem for us."
