Baghdad: Parked car explodes, kills 6, wounds 36

A parked car bomb exploded in southwest Baghdad Saturday, killing six people and wounding 36, police and hospital officials said. The bomb detonated at 7 p.m. (1500 GMT) in the Um Al-Maarifah neighborhood near a supermarket, Cpt. Jemil Hussein of the Yarmouk police station reported. The wounded were taken to Yarmouk hospital, said Medic Mohammed Jewad.
