Two separate parked car bombs detonated Monday in Baghdad's Sadr City and in western Baghdad, killing at least 10 people and wounding 51, police said.
The first explosion occurred in Sadr City, a sprawling Shiite district of the capital and killed four people and wounded 41, said police Lt. Ahmed Qassim.
The explosion occurred shortly before dark in a popular al-Hay grocery market.
The second bombing took place in western Baghdad, at the al Washash market next to the upscale Mansour district and killed five people and wounded 13 others, said police Lt. Maitham Abdul-Razza.
